Find a place where you can stand or sit in silence for a moment. This can be in the office, your home or outside. Put your cell phone on mute.
Now close your eyes and breathe. Feel the air flowing through your body. Observe your breath. Feel how your body responds to your breath.
Relax.
Look back on the day. What are you grateful for? What made you smile? Maybe it's the little things: the flower on the sidewalk, the smile for the mailman, the driver who let you pass. Look back on them and be thankful: for being here, for being alive, for being able to experience all these wonderful moments.
Smile.
Then direct your attention to your own behavior. When have you been kind to others? Again, it may be small things: Making breakfast for your kids, a nice interaction with a colleague, a thank you.
Praise yourself for it. Smile. Feel your breath. Slowly open your eyes and say: I am here. And I am perfect the way I am.
